The 2007 Statistical and Policy Survey was prepared by the Statistical Survey Committee of the Suffolk County Library Association.

This publication is based upon the updating and verification of previously printed data, as well as from selected information in the New York State Member Public Library Survey for the 2006 calendar year. Every effort has been made to provide accurate and meaningful statistics.  Information from highlighted libraries has not been updated.

This edition includes a directory of Suffolk County public libraries and an index. The libraries are listed alphabetically.
