The YASD Luncheon is an annual event for librarians to celebrate the year's accomplishments and listen to a special speaker involved in teen literature and services. This year we were pleased to host Sarah Mlynowski as our guest speaker on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Mamma Lombardi's Ristorante in Holbrook. Sarah is the author of the hit Rachel Weinstein series, including Bras and Broomsticks, Frogs and French Kisses, and Spells and Sleeping Bags. Sarah discussed how she became an author and got published, her writing process, various workshops she has presented to librarians and teens, and her thoughts about YA literature. A good time was had by all!
