Services are geared toward recent high school graduates, college students, women returning to the job market, career changers, the unemployed/underemployed, early retirees, or those dissatisfied with their present job situation and seeking direction. Counselors can provide assistance with career planning, self-assessment, college, vocational/technical and financial aid information, resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing techniques, networking strategies and conducting a job search via the Internet. Colleges/Universities
Students and alumni should be aware that most colleges and universities have a Career Placement Service. Anyone affiliated with a school is usually entitled to use the service which may offer job opportunity information and career guidance. If you have attended an out-of-town college, contact your school to learn if it has reciprocity with other schools. Check with your college to determine the extent of its career services.
