PR & Marketing Committee and Electronic Resources Committee Meeting, March 30

The RASD PR & Marketing Committee and the Electronic Resources Committee are hoping to have a joint meeting at which we will discuss how to hold a Technology/Database/Electronic Resources/Educational Resources Fair at your library. We are looking for libraries who have already done it or are planning to do so, and if they would like to share their successes and failures at a meeting. It would tentatively be Thursday, March 30th.

Emerging Technology Meeting Follow-up

Ellen Druda did a quick overview the new products and trends showcased at the Consumer Electronics Preview  show in NYC last month.

Help! I’m Not a Business Librarian! Thursday, November 19, 2:00pm

The CARE (Career and Resource Exchange) Committee of RASD (Reference and Adult Services Division), a division of SCLA, will be hosting a joint meeting with the Electronic Resources Committee on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Suffolk County Library System in Bellport. Please join us for coffee at 2:00pm–the presentation starts at 2:30pm.

Does the thought of answering business reference questions fill you with fear or dread? Sal DiVincenzo of Middle Country Public Library will present, “Help, I’m Not a Business Librarian!”  Mr. DiVincenzo will give an overview of some resources that are available to librarians to assist patrons asking some of the most common business reference questions.
