Video Production on a Shoestring

On October 19, 2017, the PR & Marketing Committee sponsored an interactive workshop on best practices for video production. Emmy Award nominated Producer/Director Steven Taub, with more than 20 years of experience in the field, shared his experience and best methods to inexpensively create promotional videos for your library and its programs. Topics that were discussed include:

  • Video production and library promotion
  • Ways to incorporate video media and video marketing into your library’s communications
  • Promotion and community participation
  • PSA’s, shorts, bios, documentaries, comedy and even the possibility of a video newsletter

Just a reminder that the RASD PR & Marketing committee will meet at SCLS in the Blue Room on June 22, (coffee at 9:30) at 10:00 a.m. to have a round table discussion about how libraries are marketing in the areas of outreach, anniversaries, readers advisory and summer events. Please bring fliers and handouts to share, if possible.
