Library Marketing Committee
The Library Marketing Committee is a commission of the Reference and Adult Services Division (RASD) of the Suffolk County Library Association (SCLA).
The mission of the Library Marketing Committee is twofold:
- to promote the use of marketing and public relations strategies, tactics, and tools in public and academic libraries of Suffolk County, and
- to help inform and educate the staff at Suffolk County libraries on marketing best practices.
Each year the committee sponsors the Suffolk Library Marketing Award (SLMA) which recognizes the best marketing campaign by a public or academic library in Suffolk County.
