Nassau County Library Association and

the Suffolk County Library Association

as circulation, Sierra, customer service, inter-loans and more.

All of the events produced by the Support Staff Division of the SCLA are geared towards helping library support staff to achieve goals, entertaining the library support staff and educating the library support staff. Some examples of the SSD annual events are:

Luncheon:

Where you are treated to a motivational keynote speaker and a hearty lunch.

Roundtable:

Where you can mingle with support staff from other libraries with similar job functions to help improve your skills.

Educational Support:

Be it your work environment or your personal life the SSD sponsored educational programs are designed to help.
Computer Training where you can learn new programs such as Microsoft Excel and Publisher.
Civil Service Workshops where you can get the heads up along with helpful hints about civil service exams.
