Calling all teen librarians!! YASD is looking for submissions for the new and improved Teen Talk, YASD’s quarterly newsletter sent out so we can see all the cool stuff happening in teen departments around the county. For our first issue of 2025, we are looking for submissions on the following topics:
Program Highlights – Have you or a colleague recently ran a teen/tween program that you want to brag about and let other librarians see your amazing work? Send us a quick write up, around 5-10 sentences, describing the event and some pictures to be featured in the newsletter.
Book Displays – Same idea as the program highlights. Only this time, we want to see your shefies! Whether it was a holiday display, something topical or a theme truly unique to you, snap a pic to inspire other teen librarians!
What You’re Reading – Send us reading suggestions! Whether it’s a book you’re currently reading, or something you can’t wait to read – we want to know about it!
New Faces in the Teen Department – Are you a new teen librarian? Have you hired a new teen librarian? If the answer is yes, now’s the time to introduce yourself/them to YASD! Send us an email with some fun facts about yourself so we can all say hi and welcome you to the group!
However, if you have any other burning articles/write up suggestions, we are open to them! Just send us an email and we can chat!
All submissions must be received by February 28. 2025, in order to be included in our Spring Newsletter. All submissions can be emailed to youngadultsd@gmail.com!
If you have any questions, please email Liz Hughes, eah1106@gmail.com, for more info!
