Please join us Wednesday, February 13th, networking at 9:30am, meeting will begin at 10am, at Middle Country Library in Centereach.  We will be discussing podcasting practices in the library with Salvatore DeVincenzo of Milddle Country Library and Chris Kretz of Stony Brook Southampton Library.

Come meet Dr. Annelies Z. Kamran
President and Founder of GeoLyceum

Dr. Kamran has taught at Queens College/CUNY, Hofstra University, Dowling College, and currently teaches international relations at St. Joseph’s College.  She has developed a series of in-depth country studies programs for public libraries  entitled Places in the News.  These programs give an opportunity to comprehend what is going on today’s headline news and provides an opportunity for patrons in our community to take part in thoughtful conversations.  Dr. Kamran will discuss how she runs this series as well as, new projects she has in development for Eastern  Suffolk BOCES on cultural competency and understanding our various immigrant communities on Long Island.
