The Support Staff Divisions of NCLA and SCLA will meet on April 29, 2019 at the Farmingdale Public Library from 9:30am – 12:30 pm to share ideas with our library colleagues from across Long Island. Join us for this informal forum where we will discuss such topics as circulation, Sierra, customer service, interloans, etc. All staff are welcome! Refeshments will be provided and raffle baskets!
$15.00 for non-members and FREE for NYLA & SCLA SSD members.

The next Electronic Resources Committee to be held at SCLS on Tuesday, April 30 at 12 PM.
The discussion will include topics covered in his earlier program, David Carroll vs Cambridge Analytica, along with the importance of patron privacy and how libraries can help the public with this increasingly complicated task.
David Carroll, an associate professor at Parsons School of Design in New York, is suing Cambridge Analytica for a complete summary of his personal data the company harvested from Facebook.com through the use of third-party apps and APIs.
