Supporting Staff Through Changing Tech Trends With James HutterJoin The East End Tech Coalition (EETC) in welcoming James Hutter, Co-Chair of the NCLA Computers & Technology Committee and Assistant Director of the Port Washington Public Library, as he shares tips for helping library staff to embrace new technologies. As we all know, change is a difficult but necessary part of working in libraries. With libraries constantly looking for ways to stay modern, introducing new technologies can often be a challenge. James will share ideas on how to prepare staff for change, train staff in new technologies, and how to deploy tech for public or staff use.

Long Island Library Conference 2024


Registration for the 2024 Long Island Library Conference is open! The conference will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Melville Marriott. This year, registrations will be once again processed through Eventbrite. Registration will close on April 30, 2024.

Please review these updated registration policies and procedures:

Rates:

NCLA/SCLA Members: $80

Non-Members: $95

Student: $50

Day-Of: $150

Attendees registering as NCLA/SCLA members must input their membership numbers while registering. Membership will be verified. Questions regarding membership should be directed to NCLA and SCLA.

Payment must be made by April 30. Those who do not pay by April 30 will not be registered. Anyone who wishes to register or pay on May 1 or later can do so on the day of the conference and will be charged the Day-Of rate of $150. Day-Of payments must be made by credit card.

Group Registration:

Registering multiple attendees at once is possible.

Payment Options:

Cash, check, credit, PayPal, Google Pay, and invoice payments can be made.

Refunds:

Payment is non-refundable, but registrations can be transferred to someone else.
