Presented by CATS and CLASC, we warmly welcome you to the 2nd Annual Women and Technology in Libraries Panel. Join us as we celebrate and spotlight influential women who have harnessed the power of technology to innovate in their roles, serve their communities more effectively, and break through gender boundaries.

Storymaps at Your Library
Sarah Kautz will introduce you to using Storymaps and using online mapping software to present the history of a place in an interactive way. This program will include:
Using ARCGIS online
Uploading a table
Creating a story map
Sharing information with patrons.
Learning about how your staff and patrons can use the resources provided by the GIS mapping program through Brentwood library including ARCGIS pro.

Hosted by the Northport Public Library and sponsored by CATS division of SCLA, this program is presented by Brentwood Library’s Landmark Tour of Brentwood History funded by a grant from the GIS Mapping Initiative.
The Local History Committee of RASD will be hosting its next meeting at the Smithtown Building of The Smithtown Library (1 North Country Road, Smithtown, NY 11787) on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm. This meeting will include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Library’s local history room (the Richard H. Handley Collection of Long Island Americana or Long Island Room) and its facilities.
