A statement from the Suffolk County Library Association Board

A statement from the Suffolk County Library Association:

The SCLA executive board would like to reaffirm our commitment to intellectual freedom and the freedom to read. This includes a firm opposition to the restriction, removal, or censorship of books, materials, and displays. We support all members of our communities and we believe that libraries are a place for all to feel welcome and supported. We would like to remind all library workers that resources are available to you in support of your efforts to protect all patron’s freedom to read. To our LGBTQ+ colleagues we reaffirm, we see you, we hear you, and we support you.
