Cloud Computing is having a profound impact on how businesses and people buy, use and manage software and hardware.  It represents an enormous shift in both business and personal computing, allowing organizations and individuals to access hardware and applications through subscription, via the Internet, rather than upfront purchases. Open Source Program: Follow up

Program: Open Source Software in Libraries

There is a lot of talk about using open source software. Should you be implementing it in your library? Is it good enough to replace your existing applications? Is it really free? Join us as we attempt to sort out the hype from the reality, giving you the facts you need to make informed choices for your library. Our panelists will present a well-rounded overview, sharing their unique perspectives and experiences.

CATS, in cooperation with SCLA’s Community Services Committee is collecting items for a Children’s Basket for a Habitat for Humanity family with a young (6-year old) child.
We are seeking new items (puzzles, games, videos, etc.) or non-perishable foods that kids like (e.g., peanut butter, mac & cheese, graham crackers, marshmallows).
If you want to contribute, please bring an item to the program.
