Take a look behind the scenes of an a public and an academic library, see the challenges they face and the technology they utilize. Talk with creative professional staff and learn how each library fulfills the various needs of their patrons.
We’ll be touring St. Joseph’s College Callahan Library in Patchogue and Sayville Public Library. We’ll start our tour at St Joseph’s College, 155 West Roe Boulevard, Patchogue, NY 11772, at 10am.
After lunch on your own, join us at the Sayville Library, 88 Greene Ave Sayville, New York 11782 from 2pm-4pm.

Demonstrations and Discussions:
Anthony Martocello will be discussing and demonstrating some VMWare Solutions
that the Northport-East Northport Library has put in place.
Stephen Ingram will talk about the Northport-East Northport Library
website (www.nenpl.org) and how Anthony Martocello developed a PHP
back-end system that allows select staff members to update events,
weblinks, new items lists and database information dynamically with a
simple interface and no html programing skill (a little helps though).
The Northport-East Northport Library also has a HP Designjet Z5200
printer which is used in-house to print posters ranging in width from
24 to 44 inches to whatever length.
We will also be discussing and demonstrating some updated Web-based OS solutions
